Our program was born from the wish to spread the teachings of the Himalayan Masters throughout Calgary, Western Canada and beyond by empowering dedicated and knowledgeable students with the wisdom of yoga. Each graduate is a proponent of these teachings, transmitting the wisdom of yoga to their own respective students.

Flexible Schedules
In today’s busy and hectic world, it is important to be flexible so we’re doing what we can to accommodate all individuals seeking to join us on the path of yoga. With that in mind, our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program can be completed as an intensive – study with us every weekday and every other weekend – or at a more leisurely pace, with your choice of morning or afternoon classes during the week and weekend classes every other weekend.

Whether you’re working a full or part-time job or whether you’ve got a family to take care of at home, our flexible schedule options will ensure that you complete your training at a pace that’s right for you.

Our Curriculum
Sunshine Yoga offers the complete teachings of yoga, following the Eight Limbs of Yoga introduced in the Sutras of Patanjali more than 5,000 years ago. With our training, you will learn everything you need to know to kick start your career in yoga while also diving deeper into the philosophy of yoga, the nature of the self and other fascinating topics.

Plenty of time is dedicated to learning effective teaching skills with ample practice time provided to further hone your skills as a teacher, making you more employable and ready to lead classes when you’re done. We’ve also dedicated sufficient time to discuss the business of yoga, giving you a distinct advantage at the time of your graduation.

Our program is recognized by Yoga Alliance, granting you the same recognition upon completion of your training. As a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance, you will be recognized as a yoga teacher worldwide, making you eligible to teach anywhere in the world.
